SOCIAL WORK PROGRAM INTERNSHIP

The Social Welfare Study Program has an internship program designed to provide students with practical experience in the field, as well as connect the theories that have been learned in the classroom with real-world situations. Through internships, students are introduced directly to various social welfare issues in society and are required to interact and intervene with the right approach.

Internships in this study program are usually carried out in institutions engaged in the social sector, such as orphanages, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government agencies dealing with social problems, and other non-profit organizations. The main purpose of this internship is to give students real experience in dealing with social issues, such as poverty, community empowerment, child protection, people with disabilities, or elderly welfare. Students will also be involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of social programs in the institutions where they intern.

In addition to improving technical skills, internships also help students develop professional competencies, such as the ability to work in teams, communication skills, conflict management, and social analysis abilities. At the end of the internship, students are expected to formulate policy recommendations or social intervention strategies based on their experiences in the field. This internship program plays an important role in preparing students for careers as professional social workers, policy makers, or social mobilizers in various sectors.
