The Social Welfare Study Program collaborates with over 10 technical service units within the East Java Provincial Social Welfare Office. Additionally, it partners with several NGOs and private institutions to equip students with essential skills. Forms of collaboration include internships and practicums for students from the 3rd to the 7th semester. These activities aim to apply the knowledge and skills gained during their studies.
The program also organizes study visits to overseas institutions such as the Malaysian Department of Social Welfare or Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM) and the Social Institute of Malaysia (ISM) under the Ministry of Women, Family, and Community Development. Furthermore, the program has established international collaborations with USM and UKM. Activities include sit-ins, practicums, joint research, visiting professors, and guest lectures. Both parties co-organize The International Student Conference of Social Work (ISCSW) to strengthen networks and broaden students' horizons.
