Social Welfare Study Program FISIP UMM is one of 31 Social Welfare Science study programs in Indonesia, consisting of 11 State Universities, 5 Muhammadiyah Universities, and 15 Private Universities. All of them are members of the Indonesian Social Work and Social Welfare Education Association organization, where the Head of the UMM Social Welfare Study Program was elected as chairman for 3 periods (2016-2024). The UMM Social Welfare Study Program has been accredited by BAN-PT with the achievement of Superior Accreditation, as stated in BAN-PT Decree No. 3974/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.Ppj/S/X/2023 since October 3, 2023, which makes the UMM Social Welfare Study Program the only Study Program that has received Superior accreditation among PTN and PTS in the East Java region.
