Friday (25/08/2023) - College of Social Welfare Sciences (STIKS) Tamalanrea Makassar made a visit to Social Department of FISIP UMM. This visit aims to connect friendship and collaboration between STIKS and Social Welfare Department of FISIP UMM. This event began with a sharing session between Social Welfare Department of FISIP UMM and STIKS of Tamalanrea Makassar. After that, STIKS of Tamalanrea Makassar lecturers and students toured the campus accompanied by Social Welfare Student Association (HIMAKS) and Social Welfare Laboratory Assistant.
The sharing session was attended by Deputy Dean I of FISIP UMM, Deputy Dean III of FISIP UMM, Head of Social Welfare Department of FISIP UMM, Head of Social Welfare Laboratory of FISIP UMM, Social Welfare of FISIP UMM lecturers, STIKS lecturers, and STIKS of Tamalanrea Makassar students. This event was carried out with explanations from each department with the hope of exchanging information and inovation.
“In this discussion, we ask that our students be provided with knowledge, theory, how to do practicum here, and other explanations related to Social Welfare Department. That is our hope.” said Mr. Ilham Supiana, S.Sos., MPSSp.
Some of the points presented in th sharing session included explanations for each department, introduction of department lecturers, practicum, MBKM program, and future programs and agenda for each department.
Several programs from STIKS of Tamalanrea delivered by Mr. Ilham Supana, S.Sos., MPSSp have more similarities with programs in Social Welfare Department of FISIP UMM because they both are involved in the same object, namely Social Welfare.
This is a plus point for both parties to provide each other with new insights and experiences that have never been done, so that they can be used as motivation in developing new programs and agendas in the future.
“Hopefully we are all always given health and fluency to be able to carry out our respective programs.” said Mr. Dr. Fauzik Lendriyono, M.Si.
In closing, STIKS of Tamalanrea Makassar conducted a campus tour with Social Welfare Student Association (HIMAKS) and Social Welfare Laboratory Assistant which ended with visiting Social Welfare Laboratory before leaving for another city.
